Ariana Sutton

I was born into travel. At just two months old I made my first move from my birthplace in Fort Polk, Louisiana to Seattle, Washington. This was the start of what would eventually become my “nomadic lifestyle”. As a child of a military family, I lived in Texas, Colorado, and North Carolina, while taking numerous trips to other places in and outside of the country. After graduating college, I couldn’t picture myself settling down in the States, so I decided to venture out and see what the rest of the world had to offer. My journey as a digital nomad began in January 2021 and since then I’ve been to 33 countries, 5 continents, and still counting!

I document my journey on Youtube, sharing what it’s like to live in and experience the world as an African American woman. Being a digital nomad has taught me how to adapt quickly, especially after being laid off from my remote job midway through my travels. Since then, I’ve had to pivot, learning to utilize my skills and creativity to sustain my wandering lifestyle. The nomadic journey has its share of sacrifices and challenges, but the life of freedom it has rewarded me makes it all worth it. It’s my mission to empower others to take that leap and dare to live life on their terms.
