About this speaker
Audrey Marie Crochemar was born and raised in Martinique, lived in several countries, incl. mainland France, the USA, Spain, Haiti, Guadeloupe, and picked up some languages along the way. She relocated to Toronto, Canada in 2019, right before the pandemic.
Audrey is a seasoned international development consultant who started her career twenty years ago in oil and gas distribution, specializing in operations and field work.
About ten years ago, Audrey went back to school, pursued a career change to work alongside governments of emerging nations, both in the field and at headquarters. In that capacity, she contributed to increasing the institutional capacity of developing countries on several continents, promoting community engagement and social impact.
After two career changes, she chose to work in the field of diversity, equity, inclusion (DEI), and accessibility for a regional branch of the Canadian government. In her daily work, she builds and implements strategies to promote workforce’s and community well-being, aiming to foster a sense of belonging.
Audrey holds an MBA from New Mexico State University (USA), and a Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs and Foreign Languages from the Université de Savoie (France), and a postgraduate certificate from McGill University in Montréal (Canada).
Outside of work, Audrey loves music, the outdoors, comedy clubs, game nights. She enjoys attending yoga / meditation retreats, learning about mental health, and furthering her personal growth.
