About this speaker

Eve Clark, a remarkable woman hailing from Chicago, embarked on a journey that would shape her into an influential figure in both the construction industry and accessible travel community. Born with an unwavering determination, Eve's life has been a testament to resilience, compassion, and the power of pursuing one's dreams.

In 2003, Eve and her family made a pivotal decision to move to Dallas, Texas, seeking new opportunities and a fresh start. Little did she know that this move would set the stage for her future success. In 2006, she took a leap of faith and founded MEB Construction, a company dedicated to providing outstanding construction and maintenance services.

Under Eve's visionary leadership, MEB Construction flourished, earning a reputation for excellence within the industry. Her unwavering commitment to quality, innovation, and client satisfaction propelled her company to new heights. As a result, Eve received numerous prestigious awards throughout her career, including Construction Company of the Year, Woman Business Enterprise of the Year, Businesswoman of the Year, and Advocate of the Year.

However, Eve's influence extended far beyond the construction industry. In 2018, she founded Disabled Diva Travels, a platform designed to share her personal accessible travel experiences and inspire others with disabilities to embrace the joys of exploration. Through Disabled Diva Travels, Eve showcased the limitless possibilities of travel for individuals with disabilities, proving that physical limitations need not hinder one's sense of adventure.

Despite her tremendous success in the construction and travel sectors, Eve's life has not been without challenges. Since 1996, she has lived with Multiple Sclerosis and other autoimmune disorders. Yet, she has never allowed these conditions to define her or hinder her ambitions. Instead, she has become a beacon of strength and resilience, managing her health while simultaneously inspiring and supporting others facing similar obstacles.

In addition to her professional achievements, Eve's dedication to empowering marginalized communities is evident through her involvement in various organizations. She served on the Board of Directors for the DFW Minority Supplier Development Council, an organization committed to promoting and supporting minority-owned businesses. Additionally, she contributed her time and expertise to the Retina Foundation Southwest, which focuses on researching and treating degenerative eye diseases, and the Texas Youth Commission, an organization dedicated to the rehabilitation and development of at-risk youth.

In 2019, after years of managing her successful construction company, Eve decided it was time for a new chapter in her life. Driven by her passion for travel and a desire for personal growth, she bid farewell to MEB Construction and embarked on a new adventure in Thailand. Seeking to further her impact in the travel industry, she co-founded Stokes World Travel, a company dedicated to providing accessible and inclusive travel experiences for all.

Despite the challenges she faced in her personal life, Eve never allowed her health conditions to define her. Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1996, she confronted the daily struggles of living with autoimmune disorders head-on. Through her unwavering spirit and determination, she not only managed her condition but became a source of inspiration and support for others facing similar obstacles. Eve completed both Executive programs at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth for minority business owners and women business owners. She is also alumnus of Leadership Texas and has construction management certification from Northlake College.
