Lia Miller is a career Foreign Service Officer with the U.S. Department of State currently serving as the Consul General (Principal Officer) of the U.S. Consulate in Barcelona, where she applies her over 20 years of experience as a Foreign Service Officer and global strategic communications and policy expert. She has worked extensively on issues across the Middle East, North Africa, Eastern Europe, and Latin America, demonstrating leadership and innovation in communications, humanitarian relief, democratic reform, social inclusion, diversity, and other foreign policy priorities/objectives.
