Tori Rogers
Ebony Expats Tori is a business advisor, entrepreneur, and expat based in Thailand. During her move in 2017, she created Ebony Expats to support aspiring and current expats in thriving abroad. Tori shares insights, strategies, and tools to support business and personal initiatives.
About this speaker
Born and raised in Houston, Texas and a University of Texas at Austin graduate, Tori is a a proud Longhorn. She brings a diverse background across media sales, marketing, and operations across corporate and different industries.
After a corporate layoff, Tori made the decision to move to Thailand in 2017. To support her move (and first time traveling abroad), Tori embarked on curating an expat community and hosting events which led to the establishment of Ebony Expats LLC. She has worked on projects with Fox TV, Live Nation, Netflix, Kolour Music Festival, Bangkok Basketball League and was a part of the team that brought the community together and helped source Black extras for a Spike Lee film in Thailand.
Most recently, Tori spoke about expat insights that she’s learned over the last 7 years as well as the power of belonging in travel at the Tourism Diversity Matters’ 2023 DEI Conference. Her work and events have also been featured in Associated Press, Bangkok Post, BK Magazine, Travel Massive’s 100 Inspiring Women Travel Founders list and other publications.
Today, Ebony Expats offers relocation assistance, travel planning, and concierge services.
